According to data from the Civil Aviation Administration of Viet Nam, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) recorded an on-time performance (OTP) rate of 86.9% in Q2/2026, higher than the industry-wide average. This result reflects the airline's stable operational capability amidst aviation operations facing significant pressure from high travel demand, adverse weather conditions, and heavy traffic at key airports.

On July 7, Sun Group and Accor, one of the world's largest hospitality groups signed an agreement to elevate their decade-long strategic partnership, adding nearly 6,000 premium hotel rooms and serviced apartments spanning virtually every segment from mid-scale to luxury, and from traditional hospitality to lifestyle brands, across Phu Quoc and Da Nang.

(CAI), the airport development and management arm of Changi Airport Group have signed a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), broadening their partnership across airport development and operations in Vietnam.

The prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine has unveiled the winners of its Luxury Awards 2026, with Phu Quoc making a remarkable impression by climbing one place from 2025 and surpassing Bali to become the second-best island in Asia-Pacific.

On June 17 in Singapore, Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), a resort airline under Sun Group, organized a workshop “Phu Quoc - Your Ultimate Escape”, introducing the Singapore - Phu Quoc direct flight route to local tourism, travel, and aviation partners.

On June 16, at Van Don International Airport, Sun Group, HAECO, Japan Airlines and Toyota Tsusho signed a joint venture agreement to develop a US$360 million Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) complex at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province. The project is expected to mark a significant milestone for Vietnam’s aviation industry and strengthen the country’s position within the regional aviation value chain.
