Thousands of guests gathered at prime viewing spots, from Sun Bavaria GastroPub and Kiss Bridge to the Sunset Town beach, to witness the return of Symphony of the Sea. Across 20 minutes, audiences were treated to a dramatic fusion of extreme water sports and state-of-the-art effects featuring laser beams, advanced lighting systems and nearly 1,000 pyrotechnic shots, showcasing hundreds of distinctive effects including aerial fireworks, water pyros, flares and kite fireworks.

Symphony of the Sea Season 2 is set to illuminate all of Sunset Town
First launched in 2024, Symphony of the Sea represents a large-scale investment by Sun Group. In 2025, the show returns with the collaboration of world-leading experts in extreme water performance and laser technology – H2O Events and Laservision – alongside the champion designer of Da Nang International Firework Festival and a top costume production house from China. The performance weaves together fireworks, technology and high-adrenaline artistry by elite athletes in jetski, flyboard and jetsurf disciplines.
Over the past six months, more than 100 international specialists worked intensively on the project, dedicating over 99,000 man-hours to ideation, production and installation – reflecting the scale and dedication behind every element of the show.
Jack Ellison, Director of H2O Events, a world-leading company in water performance and fireworks with 30 years of experience, shared: “This year’s Symphony of the Sea is one of the largest-scale productions in the world. We scoured the globe to assemble the best technicians and the most talented athletes to create the most immersive multi-sensory experience possible.”

A breathtaking visual extravaganza awaits visitors this festive season
A highlight of this year’s edition is its upgraded performance technology, inheriting and enhancing systems from the double-Guinness-record super show in Cat Ba. Notably, Symphony of the Sea was engineered by experts from Laservision, the world leader in water, sound and light spectaculars, renowned for Guinness-record shows such as “Imagine” at Dubai Festival City and “Wonder Full” at Marina Bay Sands.
In Sunset Town, Laservision delivers a spectacular symphony of color with more than 200 laser and lighting effects. Shannon Brooks, CEO of Laservision, noted: “Achieving accuracy down to 1/11,000 of a second, where every performer must land on the exact mark each moment, demands extraordinary coordination. The Laservision, H2O and Sun Group teams worked relentlessly, day and night, to ensure perfection in every performance. From dazzling costumes to laser beams dancing across the night sky, every detail is designed to astonish.”

World-class performance stars unite in Phu Quoc
The show features 21 world-class athletes in jetski, jetsurf and flyboard. Season 2 introduces stars including Anton Popov, three-time Hydroflight World Cup champion; Geoff Hulet, Canada’s national Flyboard champion; and Jorge Encabo, top-ranked competitor at the Hidro-Fly World Championships. Returning favorites include Kristina Isaeva – the world’s top female flyboarder, dubbed “Queen of the Sky” – and Lee Sak Yoon, champion of the UAE Flyboard Competition.
Performers appear in custom LED suits designed by Beijing Bao Rong Baoyi Film and Television Culture Communication, acclaimed for major international cultural productions and collaborations with legendary director Zhang Yimou. Against a “galaxy of light”, athletes deliver high-speed jetski fireworks maneuvers and acrobatic flyboard stunts up to 15 meters high, evoking scenes straight from a cinematic blockbuster above the open sea.

Phu Quoc is set to immerse in a spectacular festival of lights and fireworks
The show’s soundtrack blends iconic international hits with beloved Vietnamese melodies like “Me yeu con” (Mom loves you), meticulously synchronized with each movement on the water. The seamless harmony of sound, light and choreography heightens the emotional experience, awakening every sense and transporting audiences into a world of pure exhilaration.
Symphony of the Sea is not only a performance, but a bold statement of Sun Group’s ambition to work alongside local authorities and communities to elevate Phu Quoc into a premier global destination for tourism and entertainment.
